Paris? Rome? Try Reading

A consequence of the plummeting value of the British pound, is that it costs an arm and a leg to buy foreign currency such as USD or the Euro. This means that hard pressed families will find it increasingly hard to afford city breaks in previously popular destinations such as Paris or Rome.

So if travelling abroad is out of the equation, how about a short stop in some of the UK's finest destinations. Take Reading for example. I only went for the first time recently and was really impressed. Every shop you could hope to find and sometimes two of them. The Oracle is a fantastic shopping centre with tonnes of restaurants, bars and cinema screens right on hand.

Reading is well worth a trip and is well catered for with serviced flats.
