Serviced Flats for Wimbledon

I saw today on the news the unveiling of the new retractable roof on centre court at Wimbledon. This development means that important matches will be able to take place even if its raining. I suppose this year people will be praying that the rain comes just so we can see it in action (although since there's only one court with a roof, it would be bad news for the others).

Anyway, the annual celebration of tennis got me wondering if there are any serviced apartments in Wimbledon. Well, as it turns out, there aren't. Not in our listings anyway, which is a shame because a serviced apartment in SW9 could be just the thing to enjoy the tennis fortnight.

Let us know if you have a serviced apartment in the Wimbledon area!

Accommodation near Sheffield Crucible

It's time again for the Snooker World Championships, as Ronnie the Rocket and other leading snooker players assemble in Sheffield. There's something very special about the Snooker World Championships, and there's been some incredible moments of drama over the years. It's a crying shame that Jimmy White never managed it - especially after he came close so many times - but he'll always be the People's Champion. This year we also pause to remember David Vine, who was for many years the face of snooker, and who sadly died not long ago.

If you're going to Sheffield to enjoy the snooker action, you might decide that a serviced apartment suits your needs better than a hotel room. You get proper rooms, offering more space, privacy and value for money than a conventional hotel.

A Night Away In May?

If you've enjoyed the Easter bank holidays, you're probably looking forward to your next holidays from work and the good news is that there's two more bank holidays next month. This year's May bank holidays fall on May 4th and May 25th.

If you're planning a city break for either of these holidays in May, you might find that a serviced apartment could be just what you're after. A fully furnished, self contained flat in great city locations - serviced apartments offer more space, privacy and value for money than comparable hotels.

The Extra Mile

I stayed at a serviced apartment in Liverpool once and the owner had left a bottle of wine and two wine glasses on the dining table, along with a binder full of useful local information and suggestions on things to see and do in the area. It was that extra touch that made the visit all the more enjoyable.

I thought I'd try and make a list of "little touches" that can make a stay extra special. If you have have a fantastic experience in a serviced apartment, what was it for you that was the icing on the cake?

Easter Accommodation

If you're away for the long, Easter weekend, you might be looking for accommodation. Maybe you're visiting relatives and don't want to impose or they don't have enough space for you. A serviced apartment gives a real home from home with a proper kitchen and actual rooms. This is the smart way for a family or group to get accommodation, offering better value than hotel rooms.

Click here to start finding serviced apartments - and have a happy Easter. Don't forget, there's hardly any shops open on Sunday so stock up on food before then.

Apartments near Excel Centre

If you've turned on the TV at all lately, you will have seen the world's leaders congregating at the Excel Centre in East London for the G20 summit. Now, I don't know what their accommodation details are like but if they had sense, they would checked out nearby serviced apartments.

A serviced apartment would have offered them a luxury flat that could have been a true home from home.

If you're visiting the Excel conference centre, you might want to check out Serviced apartments in Canary Wharf.
