DUNDEE City Council has given the go-ahead for six new serviced apartments.
Council officers have approved a plan from Formosa Developments to turn a listed property at 36 Roseangle into apartments to provide “high quality visitor accommodation.”
The listed office building is next to 34 Roseangle which is a former chapel and will be turned in to private apartments as part of the same redevelopment scheme.
A planning statement submitted with the successful planning application states that the scheme would be approached “sensitively and carefully” with “minimum impact on the character and setting of the building.”
The building’s central staircase and traditional features such as cornicing will be retained.
